For students of ALL AGES pursuing a degree in the medical technology field.

About the scholarship.

The Indiana State Organization of Phi Beta Psi scholarship award details:

  • $1,000 awarded per year

  • Awarded for one, two or four consecutive years

  • Multi-year renewal applies to students who continue their studies in the approved fields and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better

Who is eligible?

Students of any age applying to earn a degree in the following fields of study:

  • Oncology

  • Molecular Biology

  • Biochemistry

  • Physiology

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Medical Physics

  • Epidemiology

  • Medical Technology

  • Medical Lab Technology

  • Radiology Technology

  • Nuclear Medicine Technology

  • Cytotechnology

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Submission requirements.

Applications shall be returned in a brochure form and include:

  • Completed application

  • Personal Letter of 200 words or less

  • Letter of recommendation from Phi Beta Psi scholarship chair

  • 2 Letters of recommendation from instructors, teachers or employers

  • High school or college transcript

Applications can be downloaded and printed for completion.

Deadline to apply is April 1, 2025.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed by the State Scholarship Committee in April. The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the Indiana State Council. Recipients and alternates will be notified before the end of May.
